The Mayors Quad City Young Adult Hiring Fair will be taking place tomorrow, March 2 from 12 – 5 pm at the TaxSlayer Center. The event will introduce high school and college students to local businesses looking for entry-level and summer employees. Mayors will gather at noon to open the event and will be available for interviews afterward. Representatives from the QCA Young Adult Hiring Fair Committee will be available to speak with the media about the impact this event has on the young workforce and local businesses. The Storm returns to the TaxSlayer Center this weekend for the first time in three weeks to battle the first place Huntsville Havoc on Friday and Saturday.  It is the two team’s first matchup of the season.   The Storm has picked up points in nine of its last ten games and holds a league best 9-2-1 record on home ice. A local arena is getting national recognition as one of the tops in the country for ticket sales! Moline’s TaxSlayer Center has been named one of the top arenas in the U.S. in ticket sales for the year, according to a news release from the venue. The TaxSlayer ranks fifth in the nation in sales for arenas under 12,000 seats for 2021, according to Pollstar Magazine’s year-end analysis report. The Quad Cities arena sold 40,771 tickets that grossed about $2.3 million after reopening in July.
