Aurora Beard was named for the Disney princess Aurora in the Sleeping Beauty story. It fits. She is a beauty. There is another meaning for the name Aurora, which also fits. Aurora Beard is a natural light display, in spite of her physical challenges. Aurora is an active 5-year-old who wheels herself around, plays Challenger League baseball and is gaining independence with the therapies available from Genesis Outpatient Pediatric Therapy (GOPEDS). The Quad Cities River Bandits have their Opening Day on Tuesday, May 11, and individual tickets for the 2021 season will go on sale Friday, April 30th at 10 a.m. Tickets can be purchased online, calling the River Bandits box office at 563-333-2737, or at the ticket window (209 S. Gaines St., Davenport) during normal business hours. All fans holding 2020 tickets and/or vouchers may exchange them for any 2021 game (based on availability) or new set of vouchers at the River Bandits box office. Quad Cities River Bandits Become Kansas City Royals Advanced-A Affiliate

The Quad Cities River Bandits will move up a level of play and become a Kansas City Royals affiliate, whenever the team ends up playing again after covid-19 mitigations. Major League Baseball announced today that the Quad Cities River Bandits and eleven other Midwest League teams will be moving up one level of play, as the team and the league have been promoted from Single-A to Advanced-A baseball.
