Have a Spooktacular Time at Prospect Park!

Do you have little ones anxiously anticipating Halloween, looking for a reason to try out those costumes? Well, there’s no better way to kick off the holiday than some family fun in the park! The Moline Parks and Recreation Department is hosting their annual Spooktacular time at Prospect Park (Park 16th Street Moline), this Saturday Oct 20! And admission is free! Kids are encouraged to wear their costumes! Refreshments (while supplies last) will begin at 2:30 p.m. Trick-or-treating around the park will begin at 3 p.m. There will be lots of fun characters to meet along the trail! Take a Journey Through Time at Prospect Park

Take a step back in time this weekend while helping one of the Quad Cities’ earliest parks move forward. The Moline Parks and Recreation Department presents, Prospect Park Through Time, this Saturday Oct 6 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. in Prospect Park (Park 16th Street and 30th Avenue). This event will showcase a historic walking parade at 1 p.m. around the pond. Groups will be portraying the different generations the park has witnessed since 1891. Music Guild Holding Auditions For Youth Chorus

The Quad-City Music Guild Youth Chorus will hold auditions Sunday January 7th  from 1:00-3:00pm and Monday January 8th from 4:30-5:30pm at the Prospect Park Music Guild Theater, 1584-34th Avenue, Moline, IL 61265. Auditions are open for all 3rd through 8th graders (2017-2018 school year). Please bring sheet music for an age-appropriate song (1 minute or less). In addition, there will also be a short tonal memory and rhythm reading exercise. Music Guild has announced its 2018 season. All show are at Prospect Park in Moline. Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sundays. The shows include: Catch Me If You Can    Performance Dates: March 22 thru March 25 This bright and bouncy show features a sixties-influenced score by the “Hairspray” team of Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman. The newly formed Quad-City Music Guild Youth Chorus will perform their spring concert Sunday, April 23rd, at 2 p.m. at the Music Guild Theater.
