Moline Parks and Recreation invites you to take a leisurely stroll back in time through historic Riverside Cemetery and visit with Moline’s early citizens, portrayed by local, costumed thespians. This year will focus on the pioneers in the original Moline Cemetery on 4th Avenue. All registrations collected from this event benefit the perpetual care fund to help sustain and support Moline’s two cemeteries (Riverside and Moline Memorial Park). Take a step back in time this weekend while helping one of the Quad Cities’ earliest parks move forward. The Moline Parks and Recreation Department presents, Prospect Park Through Time, this Saturday Oct 6 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. in Prospect Park (Park 16th Street and 30th Avenue). This event will showcase a historic walking parade at 1 p.m. around the pond. Groups will be portraying the different generations the park has witnessed since 1891.
