Who To Look For (And Avoid) In Your Fantasy Baseball Draft

Baseball is back! And Fantasy Baseball is right back with it! We’re all preparing for our drafts and getting ready for the season, and here are some tips on players to look for and avoid this spring. Andrew McCutchen (OF)  He has been moved to RF, not asked, but told. Trade rumors persist, but he is an awesome fantasy performer.  Wanting to prove his worth, he is a keeper.  Even if he moves from the “steel city” he will be well worth it. Matt Wieters (C) He recently signed with the Washington Nationals, after playing some good years with the Baltimore Orioles.  Wieters could prove... Read More

Running Backs Can Pay Off Big Time In Fantasy Football

It’s no secret that running backs are HUGE in fantasy football! While wide receivers have become more popular and have become more consistent points scorers in the game, it’s still incredibly important to have a solid stud and good depth at the running back position. Here are 10 you should take a peek at: Knile Davis of the Green Bay Packers, he was just traded to the Pack. He will be fresh and get a lot of carries for their weak running game. Chris Ivory of the Jacksonville Jaguars.  Now healthy, Ivory will get the bulk of carries for his team. Jeremy McKinnon of the undefeated Minnesota... Read More

Strategies For The Bye Weeks In Fantasy Football

The Bye weeks are upon us, adjust your lineups accordingly! Here are some suggestions: Detroit Lions QB Matthew Stafford.  The Lions are looking somewhat better and Stafford is getting the ball to different receivers, don’t overlook him. Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles. Bortles is probably not a long term solution at QB, but the Jags do play the Bears and are coming off a bye week and a win. Tennessee Titans QB Marcus Mariota.  The Titans face the lowly Cleveland Browns, and are at home, hard to go wrong with Mariota. Tennessee Titans RBs Demarco Murray and Derrick Henry.  This hard... Read More

QB Tips For Fantasy Teams

QB Tips For Fantasy Teams

QB tips for the week Bench Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton.  He does have decent numbers, but the Panthers are looking bad this year, which leads to a lot of bad decisions and concussion protocol. Start Atlanta Falcons QB Matt Ryan.  He has thrown for almost 1500 and 11 TDs in 4 games. Keep starting New Orleans QB Drew Brees.  The Saints are terrible, but Brees is putting up numbers each game. Start San Diego Chargers QB Phillip Rivers.  The Chargers are terrible, but Rivers keeps them in every game. Drop Dallas Cowboys QB Tony Romo. Bench New York Giants QB Eli Manning.  He has 3 quality... Read More

Rookie Pickups To Help You Win Your League

Rookie Pickups To Help You Win Your League

Grab these Rookies and young players to dominate the rest of this year’s fantasy league! Dallas Cowboys QB rookie Dak Prescott has been solid the past three weeks.  Tony Romo is just a twig in a slight breeze waiting to be broken once again. Houston Texans WRS Will Fuller V (a rookie) and DeAndre Hopkins (4th year), these two combine to form a dynamic duo for the Texans.  Even though the Texans were recently beat by a 3rd string QB, they still demand attention. Denver Broncos 2nd year QB Trevor Siemian, is not a game manager!   He and the Broncos DEF are for real!  Denver is back and probably... Read More

It’s A Case of the Rich And The Poor As Fantasy Football Begins

It’s A Case of the Rich And The Poor As Fantasy Football Begins

It’s a case of the rich and the poor as fantasy football begins its season, as injuries and poor performance have collided with breakout performances and sleepers going wild. Here’s a look at the first week of the season . . . The Rich Denver Broncos RB C.J Anderson, in week 1, scoring over 46 (24 points over his projection) points in most leagues. Wasn’t too crazy on the Broncos for Fantasy offense, but they have another dimension, a Fullback.  They will run a lot to keep pressure off QB Trevor Siemian.  Don’t look for Anderson to do this every week.  Consider him a 2 RB. New England... Read More

Looking Ahead To The AFC In Fantasy Football

Looking Ahead To The AFC In Fantasy Football

Last week I looked at the NFC, now it’s on to the AFC… AFC EAST Buffalo Bills Keeper – RB LeSean McCoy.  “Shady” has looked good in preseason!  Rex Ryan will run him a lot; if he stays healthy he could be a top 3 RB this year.  Round 3. Sleeper – TE Charles Clay.  WRs Sammy Watkins and Robert Woods will get plenty of looks, in the red zone look for Clay to get plenty of chances all season.  Round 4. Bust – RB Reggie Bush.  Someone always drafts this has been, always.  DO NOT DRAFT HIM!  A strong wind will blow in Buffalo and he will sprain an ankle and be out for... Read More

Wayne’s Fantasy Football Preview Offers Tough Tips And Hard-Hitting Help

“Really, I can actually write about fantasy football?” That’s what I thought after talking to QuadCities.com Director of Digital Media Sean Leary one night on social media. “Yeah, that’s what I’m hiring you to do!” he said. Sign me up! So, here are my first fantasy football musings.  I am going to focus on a keeper, a sleeper and a bust for each team.  This is going to be sooooo fun! NFC East Dallas Cowboys Keeper – WR Dez Bryant, is there even a question?  There are not a lot of options here.  I feel rookie RB Ezekiel Elliot will either get injured or suspended.  Dez,... Read More
