Dave Pszenyczny Returning To Coach Quad City Storm Hockey Next Season!

MOLINE, IL – The Quad City Storm and head coach Dave Pszenyczny have agreed to terms on a three-year contract, securing the team’s only head coach in franchise history through the 2024-2025 season.  In his three seasons, Pszenyczny has amassed a regular season record of 66-68-22 and is coming off his first winning season as head coach.  During the 2021-2022 season the Storm recorded a 32-15-9 regular season record, made its first ever postseason appearance and advanced to the SPHL’s President Cup Finals. “I would be lying if I said I wasn’t disappointed with the way our season ended,”... Read More

Quad City Storm Sitting Out The 2020-2021 Season Due To Covid

Storm hockey will not return to Moline’s TaxSlayer until at least fall of 2021. Due to restrictions on mass gatherings put in place by the State of Illinois as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic the Quad City Storm will be sitting out the 2020-2021 SPHL season.  The State is currently in Phase 4 of the “Restore Illinois” plan, which prohibits individuals from attending large gatherings without a proven vaccine or cure for COVID-19.  The current mandate would allow just fifty people to attend a Storm game. Toporowski Headed Home As Assistant Coach Of Storm

The Quad City Storm has added Jake Toporowski to its hockey staff as an assistant coach.  Toporowski is the first assistant coach in the history of the franchise. Opening night is October 20 and today the Quad City Storm are unveiling their plan to pack the TaxSlayer Center! The Quad City Storm will host their first ever Fantasy Camp on Friday, October 5 at 8:00am. Head Coach Dave Pszenyczny (“Coach Chezy”) will lead on ice drills, an off ice workout and a scrimmage game during the team’s first Fantasy Camp. Dave Pszenyczny, the inaugural head coach of the new Quad City Storm, will be in the community this weekend at two separate events in Davenport and Bettendorf, Iowa. On Friday, July 7 and Saturday, July 8, Coach Dave Pszenyczny will be at the QC DekHockey tournament at Bettendorf’s Crow Creek Park for the QC DekHockey National Tournament. The tournament features over 60 teams from Canada, Louisiana, Wisconsin, Michigan and the Midwest Region competing for over $12,000 in cash and prizes.
