Throughout this week, we’ve been featuring stories on Quad-Cities band Einstein’s Sister, which is releasing its first record in almost two decades this weekend, during Record Store Day at CoOp Records in Moline. The band – Kerry Tucker, Bill Douglas, Marty Reyhons, Steven Volk, and Andy Brock – is releasing a double-A side single, “Standing Still” and “Begin Again,” on transparent blue vinyl. Einstein’s Sister is releasing their first songs in almost twenty years, and the band’s songwriter, guitarist and singer Kerry Tucker is talking about it on a new video. The group collaborated with members from the bands of Paul McCartney, Jellyfish, Sheryl Crow, and more. The single was mastered at the legendary Abbey Road. Einstein’s Sister Releases New Single for Saturday Record Store Day

One of the Quad-Cities’ most popular bands – Einstein’s Sister – reunited last year for two new songs, which will be released Saturday, Sept. 26 for Record Store Day 2020 at Co-Op Records, Bandcamp, iTunes, Apple Music and CD Baby. The longtime musical partners Kerry Tucker and Bill Douglas co-wrote the tunes, “Standing Still” (which Tucker sings) and “Begin Again” (which Douglas sings), recorded with Einstein’s Sister drummer Marty Reyhons and bassist Andrew Brock. As a fire-and-brimstone preacher delivered a fiery oratory about comics fans courting hell and the devil on one floor of Davenport’s Hotel Davenport and Conference Center Sunday afternoon, far more pleasant and happy people chatted about other fantastic scenarios on the floor below as the annual Q-C Fun Con drew several hundred people to the venue for a great time.
