Moline Centre is always hopping with activity, and this month is no different. The downtown Moline area is jumping with events for St. Patrick’s Day, the spring awakening, benefits for great causes and more. Here are some of the things to keep your eye on:
Looking for a great way to help kids in need?  The Children’s Therapy Center of the Quad Cities is in the midst of their Donate a Dollar campaign.  Stop in to Bierstube, BRIX, Barrel House, Lagomarcino’s and Las Regias during the month of March, shell out a dollar and you will have helped pay for therapy services that local families cannot afford!

The festivities continue at O’Keefe’s Sports Pub as they celebrate St. Patty’s Day and 10 years in business on March 17.  Drop in and offer them congrats, reconnect with your Irish roots, be an honorary Irishman for a day and raise a pint of green to help them make merry!  Head on over to Bent River Brewing Company afterwards where they will be serving up a traditional Irish meal of Corned Beef & Cabbage plus their Oaked Irish Stout.  Slainte!

Bass Street Chop House presents their monthly wine tasting event on March 18 from 6 to 8 p.m.  Uncork the wine enthusiast in you as 8 – 10 wines are offered along with complimentary hors d’oeuvres, for only $20 per person.  Call (309) 762-4700 to make your reservations.

Dead Poet’s Espresso will be featuring live, traditional Irish music on March 19 at 10 a.m. Listen to Dan Haughey as he plays music from his “Gaelic Songs” show while you enjoy a steaming hot cup of coffee or maybe their Drink of the Month, a blended Lucky Green Vanilla Bean.

It’s time to celebrate National Ag Week at the John Deere Pavilion on  Saturday, March 19, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Kids will take part in making crafts while learning the role agriculture plays in providing safe, abundant and affordable products.

Our Quad City Mallards host the Indy Fuel on March 20 at 4 p.m. at the iWireless Center. Make sure you bring your little fans to this hockey game because they will be giving away a youth jersey to the first 1,000 kids!

The annual Live Duck Hatching event takes place at the John Deere Pavilion from March 24 through March 26.  Come witness the birth of dozens of ducklings, watch as they sprout their feathers and frolic in the pond and playground.  Bring your camera and take FREE photos of your child holding a fuzzy duckling!  (March 25 and 26 only).

Colorful eggs and baskets, fluffy bunnies, jelly beans and more are on the horizon. If you need a little holiday help, stop at Watermark Corners or Isabel Bloom for some great decorations and gift ideas.  Cooking a big meal out of the question? Treat the family to a delicious Easter brunch featuring all of your favorite breakfast foods and more at Johnny’s Italian Steakhouse, Bass Street Chop House or Bent River Brewing Company. And don’t forget to pick up your gourmet chocolate Easter egg at Lagomarcino’s!

Acupoint Health Connections will be featuring a weekend get-away to the Gluten Free & Allergy Friendly Expo in Schaumburg, Illinois on May 14.  GFAF expos are the largest and fastest growing special diet consumer events in the US.  Reservations must be made prior to April 5.  For more detailed information call (309) 571-3010, email kris@acuhc.com or visit the website.
