After an invitation-only reception last Thursday featuring live music, the Redstone Room on the second floor of River Music Experience (129 Main St., Davenport) finally reopens for a public concert this Thursday, at 8 p.m., with an All Sweat Series “Island Del Soul” event, with several artists. Since Brianna Hobbs, new program director at Davenport-based River Music Experience, joined the staff in early June, the nonprofit has kicked it into high gear – adding some more staff and getting ready for the return of regular Redstone Room concerts in late August. When live, in-person music was wiped out last year, Davenport-based River Music Experience provided a priceless lifeline – they brought music out to private residences in the Quad-Cities with Curbside Concerts. Now they’re back for a second year.
