The city of Bettendorf sure knows how to celebrate the holidays, and their 4th of July Festival is no exception!

The 2018 4th of July Festival, happening in Bettendorf, on Wednesday Jul 4 includes crafts, food, amusement rides, live music, a parade and fireworks.

Kick off the holiday celebration on Tuesday Jul 3 with a FREE outdoor concert! Live music will be provided on the west stage near 18th Street and Spruce Hills Dr., beginning at 5 p.m. Enjoy local classic rock band, Hap Hazard, followed by the Army Band. Headlining at 9 p.m., Grandview Iowa native and 6th place contestant on season 13 of The Voice, Adam Cunningham, will be bringing his energy and soul to the stage. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.

The Bettendorf 4th of July Parade will begin at 10 a.m. downtown Bettendorf. The parade begins at the intersection of 23rd St. and State St. Procession will go east on State St., around McDonald’s to Grant St., west on Grant St. to 16th St., turning south on 16th St., east on State St., and ends at 21st St. For more information, contact Don Wells at (563) 210-0465.

Don’t miss the 4th of July Festival on Wednesday Jul 4 on Spruce Hills Dr. (in front of Cumberland Square). Amusement rides will be available from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. Ticket prices are $1 for a single ticket or $10 for 12 tickets. Ticket sales end at 6:30 p.m.

Enjoy a petting zoo, train rides, zip line, waterslide, inflatables, arts and crafts booths, food and beverage booths and so much more! The Quad Cities Optimist Fishing Derby will take place from 12-2 p.m. at Middle Park Lagoon (prizes awarded). The Quad City Skydiving Center’s parachute team will be provided shows throughout the festivities. Stop by the petting zoo for a magic show by T.J. Regul, The Quad City Magician, from 12-6 p.m.

Fireworks will begin at dusk at Middle Park. New this year, J&M Displays, the company presenting Bettendorf’s fireworks, has released a free app to sync patriotic music with the fireworks display. Available on iOS and Android, the app allows people attending the fireworks to hear music that goes along with the show right from a mobile device.
