Opa! Big Fat Greek Festival Spices Up Rock Island
Opa! It’s time for St. George Orthodox Church’s 13th Annual ‘Our Big Fat Greek Festival’!
Our Big Fat Greek Festival will take place on Friday Sep 8 from 3 p.m. – 11 p.m. and Saturday Sep 9 from 11 a.m. – 11 p.m. at St. George’s, located at 2930 31st Avenue Rock Island.
Admission is $2 for adults and children 12 and under are free. Bring the entire family out to celebrate Greek culture, cuisine, music and traditions!
Ellas Dancers of Chicago and the QC Motion Dance Team will provide cultural entertainment for all to enjoy. New to the festival this year, a History of Greek Immigrants in the Quad Cities presentation will be held on Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
The most delicious Greek cuisine will be available, as well. Come out and enjoy some gyros, tiropita, spanakopita, baklava, Greek beer and much more!
