jeff-adamson-stand-upStand up comedy can be found every last Saturday of every month right here in our District of Rock Island at the Establishment theatre, home of your local Comedy Sportz show. September 2015 gave us the comedy stylings of the very Irish Colin Ryan, hilarious local comedian Dan Deibert, and of course the introductory and in between jokes from our Establishment’s own beloved Jeff Adamson.

Now first of all, the theatre was PACKED! Jeff opened up with a few funny tidbits and introduced Ryan, who was fully ready to alleviate any concerns about his lucky charms. For the record, he has no lucky charms, And, equally important, no unreasonable paranoia involving the taking of lucky charms, had he had some lucky charms to be taken. Ryan married a girl from Iowa. “Lucky” for us, it landed him on stage right here in the Establishment.

Jeff takes the stage and succeeds once again in making everyone laugh halfway off their chairs and introduces an incredibly funny man from right here in our area. He started off with a fake accent and then sadly proclaimed, he “speaks Illinois.” His High School team was named “The Rocks” and their swim team sucked. (They suck…as they were indeed rocks.) It does not matter if you can get the joke when I repeat it, because he tells it so well. He also enlightened us with the reason women cannot accept that a man could be thinking of nothing. Because women cannot do it! As a woman, I have to agree with him.
