Miss Iowa Visits Davenport Schools To Talk To Students

Miss Iowa 2023, Alyssa Goethe, visited students at McKinley Elementary School yesterday morning. Having been diagnosed with diabetes at 11 years old, she spoke about her personal journey and emphasized the importance of treating others with kindness. She is also the daughter of Carla Goethe, a kindergarten teacher at McKinley.

Alyssa happens to be a music teacher in Des Moines, and it’s safe to say that the students were absolutely delighted to sing a Disney song with Iowa’s princess!
