The 4th Annual Women Fighting Hunger Dinner Fundraiser will take place this Thursday evening, March 28, at Rhythm City Casino in Davenport. Visit Quad Cities is pleased to announce the 2024 Patty Viverito Emerging Leader Scholarship recipients. Named in honor of Patty Viverito, former senior associate commissioner at the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) and MVC football commissioner, the program recognizes female student-athletes who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership characteristics and community engagement. Rock Island High School Young Entrepreneurs Win In Pitch Competition

Rock Island schools’ INCubadatoredu students have been busy! Last Thursday RIHS team The Swaver was the opening act of Fortress Bank’s 2nd annual Bank Tank Entrepreneur pitch competition. The team represented represented the district very well. Swaver is a product you put in your toilet tank that reduces the amount of water flushed, thereby saving both water and money. They received a $5,000 donation to our Incubatoredu program. Then over the weekend, three teams of Incubatoredu Entrepreneurship students had tables at the Black Expo held at Southpark Mall.
