Congratulations to Jabari Woods, Associate Director of HR and Equity, Title IX Coordinator, and ADA Program Administer for the Davenport Community School District, for receiving the Growing Excellence Award from the DCSD school board. Jabari’s commitment to leadership and community activism earned him an honorary doctorate degree of humane letters from St. Ambrose University, which was presented to him at the Spring Undergraduate Commencement Ceremony. At just the age of 17 Moon Haynes is a published writer. Moon, a senior at Thurgood Marshall Learning Center says she’s always enjoyed writing and it’s kind of therapeutic for her.
