Genesis Medical Center, Davenport has received an “A” grade, the top safety grade in the Quad Cities, from Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade. This national distinction recognizes Genesis achievement in protecting patients from harm and error in the hospital. Rock Island County Health Department Releases Latest Illinois Covid-19 Numbers

The Rock Island County Health Department reports one COVID-19 death: a man in his 70s who had been hospitalized. The total number of deaths is now 383. “We send our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends,” said Janet Hill, chief operating officer and public information officer of the Rock Island County Health Department. The health department also reports 166 cases of COVID-19 since the last report on Friday. The total number of cases is 20,009. Currently, 25 patients are hospitalized in the county with the virus. Genesis Medical Center Davenport Earns Level III Trauma Reverification

Genesis Medical Center-Davenport will continue to treat and care for trauma patients after being re-verified as a Level III Trauma Care Facility by the Iowa Department of Public Health’s (IDPH) Bureau of Emergency and Trauma Services. The reverification is for a three-year period. BREAKING: Iowa covid-19 numbers are heating up as the weather cools down, pushing Iowa into the red zone of “high” contagion and causing some to call for a statewide shutdown and new mask mandates. The 14-day positivity rate of COVID-19 for the state climbed from 8.9% to 9.2% in the last week, according to the Iowa Department of Public Health.
