Western Illinois University Announces Extended Hours in Advance of Fall 2020 Semester
MACOMB, IL – Beginning Wednesday, Aug. 19, several offices and service areas at Western Illinois University will have extended hours in preparation for the Fall 2020 semester, which begins Monday, Aug. 24.
Because of COVID-19, masks are required to be worn on campus. Additional information about the University’s pandemic plan is available at wiu.edu/coronavirus.
The University Bookstore will open from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21. The hours for Saturday, Aug. 22 and Sunday, Aug. 23 are 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
The University Union is open from 7 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21, from 7 a.m.-12:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 22 and from 8 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 23. The University Union Service Center is open from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19-Saturday, Aug. 22 and from 10:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 23. Chick-Fil-A and Einstein Bros. Bagels are closed.
Undergraduate Admissions, the Office of the Registrar and the Financial Aid office, both on the first floor of Sherman Hall; the Student Development and Success Center, in Memorial Hall; and Beu Health Center are each open from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22 and closed Sunday, Aug. 23. Beu Health Center is open from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 23.
The Office of Billing and Receivables, on the first floor of Sherman Hall, is open from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22 and closed Sunday, Aug. 23.
University Housing and Dining Services is open from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21, from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22 and from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 23.
The Office of Student Engagement, in the University Union, is open from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21 and closed Saturday Aug. 22 and Sunday, Aug. 23. The University Advising and Academic Support Center, on the lower level of Memorial Hall, is open from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21 and closed Saturday, Aug. 22-Sunday, Aug. 23.
The Veterans Resource Center is open from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23 and by appointment, from 1-3 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 23. University Technology (UTECH) is open from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 20-Saturday, Aug. 22 and from 8 a.m.-9 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 23.
Parking Services, in Mowbray Hall, is open from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 20-Saturday, Aug. 22, from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22 and closed Sunday, Aug. 22. The Office of Public Safety, in Mowbray Hall, is open 24 hours a day.
