The first annual Sean Leary Pre-Season Soccer Camp, originally due to begin Saturday, has been postponed due to concerns about the coronavirus.

Officials at the venue for the event, Rivers Edge in Davenport, have been considering postponing events in light of the recent cancellations by other organizations and venues, including Moline’s TaxSlayer, and the camp decided to get ahead of the situation. The decision was made not only out of concern for children attending the camp, but for their grandparents and younger siblings who are the most vulnerable to exposure to the virus, as well as parents and coaches.

The status of future dates, March 21-April 11, will be determined and announced.
