Quad Cities Youth Soccer Teams Competing In National, International Tournaments

Davenport, IA. – The Quad-Cities will have three teams of hard-working young men and women representing the state of Iowa in upcoming national and international soccer tournaments!

The Quad City Strikers Soccer Club’s U14 and U13 boys teams, and their U16 girls team, all won their respective divisions in the state’s Presidents Cup tournaments and as such will represent the state of Iowa playing against other top-ranked teams from around the country at the Midwest Regional Presidents Cup competition, June 16-20 in St. Louis, Mo.

Quad City Strikers U14 boys, U13 boys and U16 girls are each the #1 ranked soccer teams in their respective divisions in Iowa. The teams are positive, ambitious groups of great young men and women who have been working hard to achieve their goals! The teams set a positive example in their schools and community, practice daily, and are dedicated to teamwork, good sportsmanship, and unselfish play.

In addition to the Presidents Cup tournament, the U14 boys team will be competing in the prestigious USA Cup in Minneapolis in July against international competition. The annual competition draws more than 1,200 clubs from around the world and is only open to eligible top-ranked clubs.

Due to the high costs of the tournaments, Quad City Strikers has set up a GoFundMe for the teams and appreciates any and all donations that can be offered. “We are extremely proud of all of our teams at Quad City Strikers, and are very proud of these three which have worked hard to rise to this level of competition and compete at a national level,” said Morgan Pullias, club president for Quad City Strikers. “The Quad-Cities is an excellent soccer market that features a lot of talented players and we’re proud to be representing the Quad-Cities, and the state of Iowa, in these prestigious tournaments.

Quad City Strikers will be holding tryouts for all of their teams in June! Strikers offers a family-friendly environment, excellent certified coaches, competitive highly-ranked teams and the lowest fees of any team in the Quad-Cities! Tryouts are June 7 for children U9-U13 (birth year 2014-2010) at Davenport Soccer Complex, fields 1, 2, 12 and 13. Tryouts are June 13-14 for children U14-U17 (birth year 2009-2006) on fields 1, 2, and 3 at Davenport Soccer Complex.
