One band has continued to break all the molds of mainstream music and remain relevant, through the years. Their latest album with accompanying tour is no exception.Primus is Coming to the Quad Cities!

Primus will be taking the stage at the Adler Theatre (136 E 3rd St. Davenport) this Wednesday Oct 3 at 8 p.m.

Taking inspiration from a wide range of sources was part of what made Primus one of the most distinctive, innovative bands of the 1990s. Primus released their ninth album last year, The Desaturating Seven, a concept record themed around the Italian author Ul de Rico’s 1978 children’s book, The Rainbow Goblins.

The trio’s alt/punk/avant-garde/psychedelic/country attack, along with Claypool’s surreal, fever-dream lyrics, resulted in some of rock’s unlikeliest hits, including “Tommy the Cat,” “Jerry Was A Race Car Driver,” and “Wynona’s Big Brown Beaver.” The Desaturating Seven marks the return of the definitive Primus line-up—Claypool, guitarist Larry “Ler” LaLonde, and drummer Tim “Herb” Alexander, for its first album of original music since 1995.

Tickets are $25, $35, $45 and $59.50. You can purchase your tickets today at the Adler Theatre Box Office, by phone at (800) 745-3000 or at https://www1.ticketmaster.com/event/060054ED90494654?brand=adlertheatre&camefrom=CFC_ADLER_PRIMUS_WEB.
