As the current health situation in our country continues to force the cancellation of so many regularly scheduled events in the Quad Cities, we are once again focusing this week’s edition of Fun10QC on fun entertainment you can enjoy in the safety of your own home or while practicing safe ‘social distancing’ as states begin the process of opening back up (with restrictions, of course).

GAHC Reopening!

The German American Heritage Center & Museum (712 W 2nd Street Davenport) is excited to announce that they will be carefully reopening with specific conditions on Tuesday, June 23.

GAHC will offer ticketed and timed visits to groups of less than 6 every 45 minutes during their normal hours. They will be instituting new cleaning procedures, social distancing, sanitization areas, and mask requirements for those able. Please call to reserve your time! 563-322-8844

Times are as follows for Tuesday-Saturday: 10am, 10:45, 11:30, 12:15, 2:00, 2:45 and 3:30. Times for Sunday: 12:00, 12:45, 1:30, 2:15, 3:30

Please arrive within 15 minutes of your ticketed time. Admissions continue to be $5 Adults, $4 Seniors, $3 Kids, Free under 5, and Free for Members!

GAHC undertakes these efforts in hopes of slowing and reducing the impact of COVID-19. The recommendations and requirements for museums like theirs might change, so they may update this plan at any time, including possible closure.

Show Me Reptile & Exotics Show takes place this Sunday Jun 28 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at The Golden Leaf Banquet Center (2902 E Kimberly Rd. Davenport).

The Show Me Reptile & Exotics Show is a large reptile show that is open to the public. If you ever hear anyone talking about the “Show Me Show”, that’s us!

Originating in St. Louis, Missouri, The Show Me Reptile & Exotics show began as a small expo in a small space in October of 2015. The show has since expanded incredibly. There are now over 25 Show Me Shows a year. (Not including special events)

A Show Me Show is a unique experience for both reptile lovers and the reptile-curious. It is a place of friendship and community for everyone.

When you walk into a Show Me Show you can expect to see large crowds of people who admire and care for animals. The show provides everything you need to properly care for your reptiles. From high quality reptile equipment like lighting, heating, feeders, substrate, cleaners and enclosures to friendly vendors who assist in reptile husbandry and adoptions.
