'The Odd Couple' Coming To Moline's Playcrafters; Auditions Saturday And Sunday

Playcrafters Barn Theatre will hold auditions for the comedy “The Odd Couple” by Neil Simon, directed by Teresa Moore (most recently seen on Playcrafters’ stage in “Marie and Rosetta”) on Saturday, Dec. 4 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 5 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Barn Theatre, 4950 35th Ave., Moline. Performance dates are Feb. 18-20 and Feb. 25-27, 2022. “The Odd Couple” tells the classic story of two very different friends — the neurotic, super neat Felix Ungar and the relaxed, super sloppy Oscar Madison — learning to live together as roommates. Playcrafters Barn Theatre in Moline has announced its lineup of shows for their 2022 season, along with the directors. The season consists of eight productions in two series, running from February to November 2022. The productions are: The Odd Couple by Neil Simon, Feb. 18-20, 25-27; Mainstage production directed by Teresa A. Moore. Rabbit Hole by David Lindsay-Abaire, March 18-20, 25-27; Barn Owl production directed by Jaclyn Marta. An August playwright has a July drama opening this weekend at Playcrafters Barn Theatre, 4950 35th Ave., Moline. While the Pulitzer-winning “The Piano Lesson” by August Wilson (1945-2005) is set in the 1930s of The Great Depression, its discordant, clashing notes resolve in peaceful harmony that carry forceful lessons for our fractious times today. Playcrafters Barn Theatre is having its very first Community Barn Sale and they need your help! Community Barn Sale will take place this Saturday Aug 15 and Sunday Aug 16 from 12 – 4 p.m. at Playcrafters Barn Theatre (4950 35th Avenue Moline). Bring your stuff (old stuff, new stuff, red stuff, blue stuff) to sell 6 feet apart in the Barn parking lot! Only $20 for a space! This money will be donated back to Playcrafters to alleviate the stress of their bills. It is asked that all vendors bring their own tables. Have some Bazaar! Fun at Playcrafters Barn Theatre

It is that time of year again for the Playcrafters Barn Theatre Bazaar! This year’s Annual Bazaar! Kid’s Carnival will take place this Sunday Aug 25 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. at Playcrafters Barn Theatre (4950 35th Avenue Moline). Bring the entire family out for craft vendors, carnival games, raffles, bake sale, lemonade stand, a bounce house and a DUNK TANK! New this year is a Pie Eating Contest, as well!
