Moline and Muscatine Living Proof Exhibit Scheduling New Creative Sessions for Summer

Moline-based Living Proof Exhibit hosts Creative Sessions each month with a variety of community partners at various locations in the region and has one coming up in Muscatine, for the first time in a long time. To date, Living Proof Exhibit has provided free Creative Sessions to more than 2,400 participants in the Quad-Cities and Muscatine. The art sessions are free of charge and open to anyone impacted by cancer of any artistic skill level. Quad-Cities' Living Proof Birdhouse Project Soars to Seniors in Chicago

Living Proof Exhibit has made many hearts leap in the Quad-Cities with its “Make Hope Soar” birdhouse project, and now that art initiative has taken wing for Chicago senior citizens. Chicago Methodist Senior Services (CMSS) this month has partnered with the Moline-based nonprofit, so far producing 80 decorated birdhouses (done by staff and residents) that will be given to people impacted by cancer. “It’s really been an amazing turnout for this project,” Jenn Ross, the art programming coordinator for CMSS, said Friday. “I think there is this real strong connection to cancer and how it... Read More

The Figge Art Museum will welcome back Living Proof Exhibit, a nonprofit organization that provides the therapeutic benefits of the arts to people impacted by cancer, for its annual exhibition of cancer survivor art.
