The inaugural Taste of East Moline annual event featuring local restaurants offering tasty bite-sized portions of their favorite menu items. Entertainment provided by Bobby Ray Bunch, auction items, a wine pull and a cash bar. The event will be held at the The Rust Belt, the Quad Cities coolest place for entertainment and events. Child Abuse Council to Enhance Treatment Services for Rural Children and Families

The Child Abuse Council is bringing new mental health and medical services to children and families in Muscatine and the surrounding southeast Iowa counties through its Mississippi Valley Child Protection Center. The program is part of a nation-wide network of child advocacy centers that provide services to mitigate the immediate and long-term negative impacts of child abuse and neglect on children, families, and their communities. After a brutal and long past 16 months, many major cultural organizations and venues in the Quad-Cities have been awarded badly-needed federal Covid relief, through the Shuttered Venue Operators Grant (SVOG) program of the Small Business Administration. Goodwill of the Heartland on Friday announced a significant donation of $10 million from billionaire writer and philanthropist MacKenzie Scott as part of a generous gift presented to 384 organizations across the nation. The Iowa Women’s Foundation (IWF) has announced 2021 Core Grant awards to United Way of the Quad Cities and Lead(h)er, for programs that help young girls and women.
