East Moline's Deontae Nache Selected For Midwest Olympic Development Soccer Camp

East Moline’s Deontae Nache, a member of the East Moline Silvis Soccer Club U14 RENEGADES, was selected to the Midwest Region Olympic Development Program ID Camp. The regional camp brings top players from the Midwest to play for high level coaches and college coaches to display their skills in hopes of being selected to represent the Midwest Region. Top Soccer Program Cancelled For Spring

The Top Soccer program scheduled to debut this spring with East Moline Silvis Soccer Club has been cancelled due to coronavirus concerns. The club sent out the following email today: With the IYSA mandates regarding delaying the start of the spring soccer season, EMSSC is cancelling Top Soccer for spring 2020.  If you registered, we will contact you directly.  We will begin the program with the fall 2020 season, starting in September.  Thank you for understanding and we hope to see our Top Soccer athletes in the fall!  Read More

Sean Leary Soccer Camp Canceled Due To Coronavirus Concerns

The first annual Sean Leary Pre-Season Soccer Camp, originally due to run March 14-April 11, has been canceled due to concerns about the coronavirus. Illinois Youth Soccer Association has canceled all events and issued a mandatory cancellation order for events up through April 15 for all clubs in the state, and the camp is following that order. The decision was made not only out of concern for children attending the camp, but for their grandparents and younger siblings who are the most vulnerable to exposure to the virus, as well as parents and coaches. EMSSC Postpones All Soccer Practices And Activities

East Moline Silvis Soccer Club has postponed all soccer practices and related team activities for rec and travel soccer teams due to considerations over the coronavirus. According to an e-mail from the club: Due to Illinois Youth Soccer Association (IYSA) guidelines, we will not be able to start our spring season at its desired time.  As of now we will not have practices starting until after March 31st.  We will keep everyone up to date as we learn more. East Moline Silvis Soccer Club (EMSSC) is hosting a Rock n Roll Bingo Night on Friday, March 6th at the East End Bolders Club in Moline.  Doors open at 6 pm and Bingo starts at 7pm. The cost is $10 for your first bag of chips (or Bingo card) and $5 for each additional bag (card).  A cash bar is available for all beverages; you are welcome to bring in your own snacks.  For the second year in a row, we will be selling slices of Happy Joe pizza for $3 each on a first-come, first-serve basis. EMSSC has the most players (nine) participating in the Illinois Olympic Development Program statewide, their U14 travel team won the USA Cup in Minnesota last summer and their U12 travel team is ranked #8 in Illinois out of over 250 teams! East Moline Silvis Soccer Club has long brought top soccer play to the area. Now they’re bringing TOPSoccer to the Quad-Cities. EMSSC is debuting TOPSoccer, a program for mentally and physically disabled people ages 5-22, at the East Moline Soccer Complex in May. TOPSoccer is a community-based training and team placement program for young athletes with disabilities to learn and play the game of soccer.
