Moline, IL – – The Western Illinois University- Quad Cities Veterans Resource Center will host a Veterans Animal Shelter Donation Drive Tuesday, Nov. 1-Wednesday, Nov. 10 in the Quad Cities Complex C Atrium. This event is open to all WIU faculty, staff, students and the QC community to donate.

The donation drive is a part of the Veterans Week Campaign honoring veterans of all kinds. These donations will pay respect to the contributions animals have made and continue to make to the Armed Forces.

Items accepted for donation include:

 

    • Kitten formula

 

    • Puppy/dog food, dry or wet (pate/ground)

 

    • Kitten/cat food, dry or wet (pate/ground)

 

    • Puppy training pads (large)

 

    • Tidy Cats litter

 

    • Walking harness with a leash (lead)

 

    • Dog/cat toys

 

    • Blanket/towels (new or gently used)

 

The donations will be delivered to the Humane Society of Scott County, which is a local no-kill animal shelter.
