Everything from fall crafts to ice cream to art to a marathon is helping Moline Centre feel like fall this coming week.

The Moline Rotary Club is sponsoring a FREE ice cream social on Sept. 22 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Taking place along 6th Avenue between 16th and 17th Streets the purpose of this event is to showcase and dedicate the Rotary Plaza in downtown Moline.  Bring the entire family and enjoy free music and refreshments, catch a glimpse of Rascal the River Bandit, Pete the Purple Bull and inspect the police and firefighter vehicles and equipment that will be on display.

The Moline Township Activity Center will be hosting their Fall Craft Fair on Sept. 23 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  Come peruse the hand crafted gifts and seasonal decorations, check out the gently used household items from Grandma’s Attic, sign up for the gift basket, feast on bowls of chili and hot apple cider and, don’t forget to take home one of their bake sale items!

WaterMark Corners will be celebrating their Grand Re-opening and Holiday Preview event on Sept. 23 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  Join them for Champagne, Wine and Hors d’Oeuvres, check out their newly renovated digs and get a sneak peak of their favorite 2016 holiday items.

qc-marathon-logoThis year’s Quad Cities Marathon takes place on Sept. 25 at 7:30 a.m. The 26.2 USATF certified course will benefit two worthy causes; prostate cancer research and screening in addition to the Erika Kate Foundation, helping families of children with life threatening heart conditions. This flat and fast course features one of the most scenic river views in the country, covering 5 races, 4 cities, 3 bridges, 2 states and 1 island, all along the mighty Mississippi River.

Mark your calendar for Sept. 29 as the Quad Cities Chamber presents their largest after-hours social of the year, the Hob Nosh!  Come listen to the dueling pianos of Andy Anderson & Mike Leeds, sample tasty treats from Barrel House, Bent River Brewing Company, LemonGrass Cafe and more. And be sure to take part in the Pick for a Prize, where one lucky winner will take home a $500 cash prize.  Register today!
