Marv Out Of Surgery, GoFundMe Still Open For Help

Marvin Franzen, the amicable denim-clad driver of the tractor that shuttles folks to shows at Codfish Hollow Barnstormers, is out of surgery and on the healing path after a horrible accident August 10 when his tractor flipped, breaking two arms and his pelvis.Marv Out Of Surgery, GoFundMe Still Open For Help

However, medical costs are skyrocketing, and there’s been a GoFundMe set up to help with expenses.

Codfish Hollow updated his condition with a post today:

“Marvin is out of recovery and in his room. This was a very big surgery and the next 24-48 hours are critical due to a large skin graft which his body needs to accept. Please keep the prayers coming. We must ask that people *NOT* try to visit him at this time. He knows he’s in everyone’s hearts and we’re telling him constantly. Please save the visits for down the road. It simply isn’t appropriate at this time. His health and healing are what’s most important.

We’ll keep everyone in the loop as we are able. We appreciate your understanding and continued concern. ❤️ #marvstrong”

According to an earlier post, a GoFundMe and charity concert are up and in the works.

“We will be planning a larger event down the road to show our support for Marv and his family but in the meantime, we have established a GoFundMe (link below) for his medical expenses and tractor repair. If you would like to send cards or limericks to help him pass the time, please send them on to:

We hope you know how much you all mean to this volunteer-driven community. Without you, we wouldn’t do what we do. No matter the amount, or if all you can offer are good vibes, we appreciate it all. We love you. And we all love Marv. Let’s show him the love. xo
