Botanical Center’s KinderNature Is All About Snowflakes!Do your kids love playing in the snow? Is one of their favorite movies Frosty the Snowman? Do they ever ask you where snow comes from? This month’s KinderNature event Is all about snowflakes! On Tuesday, January, 10 from 10:30 a.m. till 11:30 a.m. KinderNature will be holding this program at the Quad Cities Botanical Center. Come and create your very own snowflake, and learn about snow and where it comes from. Snacks are provided.

Program fee is $6 for non-members and $4 for members. One adult is included with the ticket price. Each additional adult or child 18 months to two years old is $3 and each child requires a guardian. This program is directed at children between the ages of three and five.

The QC Botanical Center opened on June 20th, 1998 as a non-profit organization and it includes an indoor tropical atrium, a spacious banquet room, a physically enabling garden, a G-Scale garden train seasonal exhibit, several outdoor gardens, an educational greenhouse, a three-season event canopy, a resource library, and a gift shop. They are open to the public 360 days a year and have many outreach and educational programs.

As a banquet facility, they serve thousands of customers before, after, and during business hours for many different events. These events include: affinity groups, service groups, businesses and corporations, brides, birthday parties, anniversaries, and class reunions all throughout the gardens. They also host many special events and programs throughout the year from the Garden Party to the Pumpkin Extravaganza. In addition, their travel club arranges day trips throughout the tristate area to visit gardens and venues of horticultural, environmental and historical interest.
