“We are thrilled to finally welcome the community into our space,” said co-founder Christie Adamson. “The Third Place QC was created to be a safe, supportive daytime drop-in center for individuals experiencing homelessness and housing instability. Tomorrow is the beginning of that vision becoming reality.”

The Third Place QC also extended its gratitude to Mayor Ashley Harris for his instrumental role in ensuring the opening could proceed on time by issuing a special use permit.

“This opening date is especially important because it gives us time to work through any kinks in our operations before the cold weather arrives,” added co-founder Cloey Miller. “We know the demand for services will only increase in the winter months, and being ready matters.”

The Third Place QC is dedicated to providing a welcoming environment where people can access essential resources, connect with others, and find community. Tomorrow’s opening represents a critical step forward in strengthening the safety net for Rock Island residents.
