The Moline Community Development Corporation (Moline CDC) is launching its 2026 Handy at Home Workshop Series, a hands-on program designed to help residents learn affordable home maintenance skills. The series focuses on challenges common in older homes and equips participants with the knowledge needed to preserve their properties, reduce repair costs, and strengthen neighborhood stability. These workshops are open to the public.

All workshops take place from 6:00–8:30 PM at the
Butterworth Center & Deere-Wiman House — Education Center

Why:
Older homes are part of Moline’s identity but maintaining them can be costly and challenging. These workshops help residents save money, gain confidence, and learn hands-on solutions to common household issues. The program has demonstrated measurable results: participants routinely report saving over $100 on repairs using the skills learned in each session.
