In honor of National Donate Life Month, MercyOne Genesis Silvis Medical Center and the Gift of Hope Organ and Tissue Donor Network raised he Donate Life flag to celebrate those who have chosen to share the gift of life through organ, eye and tissue donation.
The flag-raising ceremony was held on Monday, April 21, at 3 p.m. at MercyOne Genesis Silvis Medical Center, 801 Illini Dr, Silvis. The flagpole is near the hospital’s main entrance.

Over the last 10 years, MercyOne Silvis has had 83 tissue and three organ donors, leading to five
organ transplants.
One tissue donor can impact about 75 lives.
