Join us for a fun event for your child’s stuffed animals! (Or any special toy.  All are welcome!)

Name Tag Making: Every camper needs a nametag, so drop by any Rock Island Public Library location to make a name tag for your toy buddy. We’ll have supplies available Feb. 22-24 during library hours.

Stuffed Animal Storytime and “Camper” Drop Off: Friday, Feb. 24 from 4:30 to 6pm, Watts-Midtown Branch (2715 30th Street.) Before storytime, we’ll decorate a sleeping bag for your toy/stuffed animal!

Then, we’ll offer a storytime for children and their toy buddies. Before you leave your toys at the library for the night, you can tuck them into their new sleeping bags. (We fully expect all kinds of toy mischief after you leave!)

Stuffed Animal Pickup and Activity Reveal: Saturday, Feb. 25, 10:30 to noon, also at the Watts-Midtown Branch. Pick up your toy friends and find out what kind of mischief they got into at the library overnight!

These events are free and open to anyone, and any toy! No registration is required. (Remember, only the toys will be staying over!)

PS: The Watts-Midtown Branch on 30th Street isn’t open quite yet, but will be very soon! Watch for more news next week about our opening plans!)
