World Spay Day is a day is an annual campaign that offers education and encouragement to people considering scheduling a life saving spay or neuter procedure for their pet.

What is a spay and a neuter surgical procedure? A spay is the surgical procedure done on a female animal and involves removing the uterus and ovaries. A neuter is the surgical procedure done on a male animal and removes the animals’ testicles.

These procedures have health benefits, behavior benefits, ensure your animal won’t reproduce, and help to reduce pet overpopulation.
