Richmond Hill Barn Theater has canceled the rest of their shows for the remainder of 2020.

The Geneseo theater released the following statement just minutes ago:

Geneseo's Richmond Hill Players Cancels All Shows For 2020After careful deliberation, Richmond Hill Players regretfully announce the cancellation of the remaining shows of our 2020 season. With the unpredictability of the COVID-19 pandemic and the recent upsurge in cases in many parts of the country, our board has chosen to exercise Geneseo's Richmond Hill Players Cancels All Shows For 2020caution, since nothing is more important than the health and safety of our patrons, our volunteers, our performers, and, indeed, our community as a whole.

Please know that we at RHP are heartbroken at the need to take this course; our artists and artisans are all missing the chance to work onstage and the opportunity to commune with our loyal audience. Each production requires nearly two months of preparation, and, in these uncertain times, it’s impossible to predict whether an audience will even be permitted to gather or will feel safe to do so within that time frame. For now, RHP redirects its attention to welcoming our patrons back for a stellar 2021 season, which will be announced as soon as all rights have been secured.

In the meantime, please be safe and be well. We want to see you on all four sides of us next season!
