A stretch of West 3^rd Street in Downtown Davenport will be transformed on Saturday, June 6 as local businesses join forces to host a full day of live music, pickleball and fundraising.

The activation will take place on 3^rd Street between Harrison and Ripley Streets and is presented by Daiquiri Factory, Kilkenny’s Irish Pub, Carriage Haus, Mac’s Tavern, Collette’s Piano Bar, B100 and the Downtown Davenport Partnership.

The evening will feature Fool House: The Ultimate 90s & Y2K Party, a nationally touring live concert experience that celebrates the music and culture of the late 1990s and early 2000s. Special guest Big Hair Mafia will kick off the show with arena-rocking 80s hair metal favorites.

Earlier in the day, competitors will take over the street for the inaugural Urban Pickleball Classic, transforming downtown pavement into pickleball courts for a round-robin doubles tournament. Divisions will include Open Doubles and Mixed Doubles play for a variety of skill levels. All proceeds from the tournament registration will benefit Friends of Mr. Thanksgiving.

“When you’re in the event business, you’re always looking for ways to create something people haven’t seen before,” said Kyle Peters, owner of Daiquiri Factory. “We’ve got pickleball in the street, a stacked lineup, local businesses coming together and a fundraiser for a great cause. It’s going to be a fun day downtown.”

“One of the things that makes downtown special is that when someone has an idea, they’re able to bring it to life,” said Alisha Espey, Senior Program & Events Director for the Downtown Davenport Partnership. “Kyle saw an opportunity to create something fun, brought other businesses together, and built an event that benefits both the community and a great local cause. That’s exactly the kind of entrepreneurial energy that continues to make downtown a vibrant place.”

The Urban Pickleball Classic begins at 10 a.m. Registration is $50 per player and all proceeds benefit Friends of Mr. Thanksgiving.

Concert tickets for Fool House are available online. Attendees are encouraged to visit participating downtown businesses throughout the day and evening.
