Create your own Pysanky Egg September 25 at The German Heritage Center!

Ukrainian-style eggs, or pysanky, are eggshells that are decorated with traditional Ukrainian folk designs using a batik process using layers of wax and dye to “write” on eggshells.

This workshop will feature a blaudruck-inspired design. Blaudruck, or German “blue-print” is a traditional folk art that is on UNESCO’s list of intangible cultural heritage of humanity.

The instructor, Crystal Potthoff, has been creating pysanky for over 16 years. Join her to create your own pysanky and learn the history of this ancient art.

The cost for the workshop is $25 for members and
$30 for non-members. Seating is limited and  registration is required!
