lynn allen picAs the weather gets warmer, the sounds of live music begin wafting through the humid air in all the Quad-Cities’ downtowns, and Moline is one of the first to open its stages to tunes.

The River House Music Under the Stars series is already under way with Soul Storm hitting the stage on May 27 at 7 p.m. Other upcoming acts include longtime local faves Lynn Allen on July 11.

Moline Centre’s Thursday Night Summer Concert Series kicks off their season with The Tailfins, presented by General Pattern Corporation, on June 2 from 7 to 9 p.m. on The Plaza at Bass Street Landing.  Check out the very cool classic cars that will be lining 17th Street during this inaugural concert.

And, finally, the Moline Township’s Summer Concerts in the Park begin on June 6 with Coupe De Ville at 7 p.m., so grab a friend and bring your lawn chair!

Other happenings in the downtown of the former Milltown include the ribbon cutting and grand re-opening of Two Rivers Massage & Wellness on June 3, from 5 to 7 p.m.  Pamela Fisher, founder and original owner of Two Rivers Massage and del Sole Barefoot Spa, recently sold her business to Jen Harper and Alan Hon. The new owners will continue to offer the same services that Pam provided, which includes Swedish and Deep Tissue Massage, onside corporate chair massage, couples massage and much, much more.

Looking for an enjoyable and memorable family event? Then gather the clan and head on over to ArtsyBug Studio on June 4 for Family Day.  Creative kids; even mom and dad, will love the opportunity to paint a mini-masterpiece on your own canvas.  No experience required.  Fun and frivolity a must.

John Belushi would be proud. Pub 1848 wants to say thanks to all of their amazing customers and friends and is inviting everyone to participate in their three-year Anniversary Toga Party on June 5. Tippi Yogis will get you ready for the bash at noon with some nice, leisurely yoga stretches.  Once you are warmed up you can throw on that old bed sheet and stay for the complimentary wine tasting, fun, food and good times.
