There is a much-needed addition to Downtown Moline that will have DIYers in the Quad Cities screaming for joy!
After putting her heart and soul into Café Fresh (1514 5th Ave Moline) for the last 11 years, Amanda Kerner and family have expanded their creativity and passion into the space next door, at the brand-new DIY Craft Lounge!
DIY Craft Lounge (1514 5th Avenue Moline) begins regular business hours today! Hours will be Tuesday – Thursday from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Tuesday and Wednesday (Winesday) evenings will be for adult-crafting only. However, all other times are family and kid-friendly. Whether you want to engage in some amazing DIY crafts for an unforgettable girls’ night, a memory-making family night, fun-filled birthday party or date night – everyone will feel the benefit of connecting with their inner artist.
Amanda has shown her creative side for years at Café Fresh. Between those delicious Pickle-Roll-Up Cakes, amazing fruity Sangria and delectable cupcakes, her sense of artistic imagination has been apparent all along. So why not share that passion and joy with the community?
While the instructed workshops will continue, patrons will now be able to simply stop in and choose one of the available craft options to fulfill those creative desires. You can paint pottery, create string-art, engage in rock painting and there is even a sewing corner!

After Fireworks Coffeehouse (16th Street Moline) closed back in 2011, the Illinois side of the Quad Cities has felt the void. The new DIY Craft Lounge plans to fill that void and offer even more than pottery painting!
