Cara Cerullo, a counselor in the Western Illinois University Counseling Center, has been named interim director of the center, effective July 1. Amy Buwick, who has served as director since 2018, retired in May after nearly 29 years of service at WIU. A national search will be held at a later date. Brian Thomas, assistant director of Campus Recreation at Western Illinois University, has been named interim director of Campus Recreation, effective June 4. Nick Knowles accepted a job off campus. Thomas was hired as the assistant director in January 2018, and was promoted to associate director in January 2021.
