Quad City Storm Host Annual Hockey Fights Cancer Ice Painting Today

Today the Quad City Storm and UnityPoint Health Trinity host the 4th Annual Hockey Fights Cancer ice painting at Vibrant Arena. Quad Citizens are invited to come to the arena between 9AM and 7PM to paint the names of loved ones who have battled or are currently battling cancer on the ice. The names will remain on the ice for the Storm’s February 3rd and February 4th games.   Brushes, paint and all materials necessary for painting names will be provided and the event is free. Group O Donates Thousands of Roku Devices To Quad-Cities Healthcare Workers

Nearly 4,000 Roku Streaming Sticks were donated to frontline health care workers at Unity Point and Genesis Health centers on Thursday, February 4. Despite blizzard-like conditions and freezing temperatures, Group O employees loaded up the devices at the company’s Milan warehouse and delivered them to Unity Point Health-Trinity Health Foundation in Rock Island and Genesis Medical Center – East Campus in Davenport to show appreciation for months of hard work during the unprecedented Covid-19 pandemic. Quad-Cities Health Systems Temporarily Reduce Elective Surgeries

In an effort to reduce COVID-19 pressures on medical center resources, Genesis Health System and UnityPoint Health – Trinity will temporarily reduce elective surgeries and procedures starting Monday, Nov. 16. This decision is made in collaboration with Iowa’s Region 5 hospitals and physician leadership of the Quad-Cities health systems. The reduction of elective surgeries will continue through Nov. 20, when the change will be reassessed.
