Philanthropy starts early at the Quad Cities Community Foundation. The Community Foundation’s Teens for Tomorrow (T4T) program gives Quad Cities high schoolers the opportunity to experience the grantmaking process firsthand, awarding real dollars to local nonprofits. QUAD CITIES, Iowa / Illinois—Participants in the Quad Cities Community Foundation’s Teens for Tomorrow (T4T) program, a youth philanthropy group of high school students, today announced the recipients of the program’s annual grants. Two dozen Quad-Cities high-school recently learned many important things about their community and made decisions on grants that help serve those needs. A group of local teenagers have spent the past year identifying promising opportunities and pressing needs in the Quad Cities area as part of the Quad Cities Community Foundation’s Teens for Tomorrow Program. The students immersed themselves in the grant process by learning about community needs, developing a grant opportunity, evaluating applications, visiting with nonprofits, and now, awarding grants.
