The Scott County Regional Authority (SCRA) has awarded Bettendorf Schools $46,500 for two grants. Herbert Hoover Inclusive Learning Playground – $42,500. The funds will be used to supplement the renovation of the Herbert Hoover Elementary playground with inclusive play space and additional accessible opportunities. Funds will help cover the installation of a new outdoor learning structure. Safe Bus Stops for Bettendorf Students – $4,000. The grant will fund stop-arm cameras for Bettendorf school buses. DAVENPORT — Several nonprofits and donors in the area are banding together to help many in the Quad-Cities hurt by the coronavirus crisis. Last month, the Regional Development Authority canceled its spring grant cycle and instead is supporting a Quad Cities Community Foundation disaster relief fund and local nonprofits that serve the most vulnerable.
