It’s official! Spring has sprung! Which means it’s time to start planning those gardens! The 2018 Flower and Garden Show is coming to the QCCA Expo Center (2621 4th Avenue Rock Island) this weekend! The show will take place on Friday 12-8 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Come wander through landscapes, outdoor kitchens, patios, gardens and more! Vendors will be on hand to discuss projects and provide resources for landscaping such as tools, techniques, accessories, equipment and gifts. Rock Island Students Show Off Their Skills at Violin Recital

The Quad City Symphony Orchestra (QCSO) in partnership with Spring Forward started the project in the Fall of 2021. Both groups reached out to other organizations and foundations to help fund the project. Students are chosen based on participation in music class and overall positive behavior at school. It is a year-long commitment and the hope is that the students will continue through until 6th grade. The students are provided with a violin and attend a weekly group lesson, all funded through grants and donations.
