The Quad City Botanical Center is allowing guests to pay what they can for admission to the gardens September 12-18. Eliminating financial barriers to entry makes the gardens accessible to all regardless of the ability to pay the general admission fee. The public is welcome to visit Sunday 11AM-5PM and 10AM-5PM Monday through Saturday. Standard general admission is $7 for adults 16 and older, $4 for youth ages 2-15 and toddlers under age two receive free admission. Members always get in free. Art in the Garden is August 7 at the Quad City Botanical Center in Rock Island, Illinois. The 5th annual event features local and regional artists including potters, painters, sculptors, jewelry makers and others who are inspired by nature to create. Their works will be exhibited and sold at this outdoor show. The handcrafted works will be on display in tents throughout the gardens and a variety of art price points will be offered.
