Quad City Storm Sitting Out The 2020-2021 Season Due To Covid

Storm hockey will not return to Moline’s TaxSlayer until at least fall of 2021. Due to restrictions on mass gatherings put in place by the State of Illinois as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic the Quad City Storm will be sitting out the 2020-2021 SPHL season.  The State is currently in Phase 4 of the “Restore Illinois” plan, which prohibits individuals from attending large gatherings without a proven vaccine or cure for COVID-19.  The current mandate would allow just fifty people to attend a Storm game. Storm and RIA, With The Help Of Ninja Turtles, Help Honor Flight

Yesterday the Storm and RIA Federal Credit Union presented a check in the amount of $4525 to Honor Flight of The Quad Cities.  The money was raised through the Storm’s Nickelodeon Night game on December 27th and a game worn Ninja Turtle jersey auction, both of which were sponsored by RIA Federal Credit Union. The donation brought the Storm’s 2019-2020 season giveback total to over $45,000!  The Storm return to action Friday and Saturday to take on the Peoria Rivermen in the #ColdWarOn74.  Tickets can be purchased online at QuadCityStorm.com.  Read More

Q-C Storm Raises Over $20,000 To Fight Cancer

The Quad City Storm, “the team that gives back,” hosted a Hockey Fights Cancer Weekwhich began with a Paint the Ice Event on February 6 and ended with a win over arch rival Peoria Rivermen on February 9. The game drew a crowd of over 5,000 and raised $21,700 for Gilda’s Club of the Quad Cities. The Storm’s Giving Back Campaign, #QCSTORMCARES, has now raised over $64,700 in only 16 games with hopes to raise $100,000 for local charities before the season ends in April. Q-C Storm News Raining In As Opening Night Approaches!

There’s a veritable torrent of news coming from the Quad-Cities’ new hockey team, the Q-C Storm! Opening night is October 20 and today the Quad City Storm are unveiling their plan to pack the TaxSlayer Center! The Storm are planning to have 8000 fans making noise in the seats for the first game of the regular season!  Fun features for fans include: indoor fireworks, a light show, a kid zone, mascots, a promo team and the first 1000 fans receive a free Storm t-shirt!  John Deere is sponsoring opening night and, along with the Storm, will be raising funds for United Way.
