Did you know installing attractive landscapes such as rain gardens on your property can help improve water quality and reduce stormwater run-off? On Monday, April 24th at 3pm at | Fairmount, Davenport’s Clean Water Manager Amy Kay and local homeowner Gina Haddock will walk attendees through what a rain garden is, how to plan and maintain one, and the benefits of adding this eye-catching water quality feature to any home. The Bettendorf Public Library’s music listening event series, Trax from the Stax, is offering an inside look at the creation of film score on November 11th at 7:00 PM. Davenport musician Neal Smith, who has recently composed, arranged, performed, and recorded a score of the film “The Land Beyond the Sunset,” will be presenting the program.
