Quad City Storm Bringing Hockey Back To Moline's TaxSlayer Oct. 15

The Quad City Storm has finalized its schedule for the 2021-2022 season.  The season will open October 15th at the TaxSlayer Center when the Storm battle the Evansville Thunderbolts.  The final home game will be played on March 5th and the regular season concludes on the road in Peoria on Friday April 8. The Storm’s home schedule consists of nine Friday games, thirteen Saturday games, five Sunday games and one Tuesday game. Quad City Storm Open Their Season In Moline's TaxSlayer Center Oct. 15

The Quad City Storm will open the 2021-2022 season Friday October 15th, 2021 at the TaxSlayer Center.  The game will be the first for the Storm since Sunday March 8th, 2020 and will end a 505 day stretch without professional hockey in the Quad Cities. The Storm’s full home schedule, opponents, road schedule and promotional schedule will all be announced later this Summer. Quad City Storm Selects Its Protected List For 2021-22 Season

MOLINE, IL-The Quad City Storm has selected its protected list for the 2021-2022 season.  The protected list includes players from the team’s 2020-2021 training camp roster that was established prior to the cancellation of last season due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  The following players are not eligible to sign a training camp contract for the 2021-2022 season with any SPHL team other than the Storm. Forwards: Connor Fries: played in FPHL Columbus during the 2020-2021 season.  Scored 12 goals and 14 assists in 21 games and won the league’s championship. Quad City Storm Sitting Out The 2020-2021 Season Due To Covid

Storm hockey will not return to Moline’s TaxSlayer until at least fall of 2021. Due to restrictions on mass gatherings put in place by the State of Illinois as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic the Quad City Storm will be sitting out the 2020-2021 SPHL season.  The State is currently in Phase 4 of the “Restore Illinois” plan, which prohibits individuals from attending large gatherings without a proven vaccine or cure for COVID-19.  The current mandate would allow just fifty people to attend a Storm game. Could there be some hockey this year after all? Maybe, but it’ll be late this year. The league of the Quad City Storm, the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) today announced that it is targeting mid-to-late December for the start of the 2020-2021 regular season. “With the continued spikes in COVID-19 throughout the country and the challenges other sports are facing in their attempts to resume play, delaying our start to December gives us the best chance of completing an entire season with all 10 teams,” stated Commissioner Doug Price. “In addition, various state restrictions... Read More

The Stanley Cup is coming to the Quad-Cities! The Stanley Cup returns to the Quad Cities for the first time in four years as the Storm celebrate Radar’s 1st birthday Friday December 20th at 7:00 P.M.The TaxSlayer Center doors will open to the general public at 6:00 P.M. and the Stanley Cup will remain on display on the arena concourse until the start of the third period. Kids under 12 can get a ticket for $1 with the purchase of an adult ticket. Tickets for the game start at just $10.
