Quad-Cities Institutions Put Their Money Where the Equity Is

Thirteen banks and credit unions serving the Quad-Cities have pooled their resources to give more than $130,000 to the United Way’s United for Equity Fund, created to address and solve inequities in education, income and health. Gwen Tombergs Skates From Quad City Storm To United Way

The Quad City Storm announced today that Storm President, Gwen Tombergs, will be stepping down and joining the United Way staff as their Vice President of Development. “The Storm is on solid ground and everything is in place to keep the team going strong,” said Tombergs. “Our front office is trained, processes are in place and we have a great coach and team.  I feel comfortable handing over the reins.” Team owner, John Dawson, said the position at United Way is a good fit for Tombergs. “Her passion has always been to help the community and she built the Storm’s reputation on that.... Read More

Quad City Storm End Their Season Due To Coronavirus

The puck stops here. Amidst a furious playoff run and some fantastic entertainment in front of growing crowds, the Quad City Storm has pulled the plug on their second season on order of their league, the SPHL. Storm Storming Into Final Games Of The Season With Eyes On The Goals

The Quad City Storm is thundering into their final games of the regular season with two goals in mind; making the playoffs and reaching the $100,000 mark in their donations to the community. Currently the Storm are in a four-way battle for one of the final two playoff positions in the SPHL.  The action off the ice is just as exciting for the Storm. Storm and RIA, With The Help Of Ninja Turtles, Help Honor Flight

Yesterday the Storm and RIA Federal Credit Union presented a check in the amount of $4525 to Honor Flight of The Quad Cities.  The money was raised through the Storm’s Nickelodeon Night game on December 27th and a game worn Ninja Turtle jersey auction, both of which were sponsored by RIA Federal Credit Union.
