Genesis Health System nurses Lisa Andresen, Steve Barnhart, and Carly Whitcomb are among the 108 Iowa nurses recognized as 2024 Great Iowa Nurses. The Genesis trio, who all work at Genesis Medical Center, Davenport, join 15 of their MercyOne colleagues across the state of Iowa in being recognized as 2024 Great Iowa Nurses.   The program, formerly 100 Great Iowa Nurses, annually honors Iowa nurses for their contributions to the nursing profession. Scott Drug tradition to continue under Genesis ownership

Genesis Medical Center, DeWitt, now part of MercyOne, will become the new owner of Scott’s Thrifty White Drug in DeWitt, effective Dec. 15, 2023. The pharmacy will remain at 629 6th Ave., continuing a downtown presence that began when Scott Drug opened in 1962. The new name will be Scott Drug, affiliated with Genesis Health System. The hours of operation will stay the same. Genesis Health System is hosting a program on Intuitive robotic technology at Genesis Medical Center, Davenport, 1227 East Rusholme Street, main floor lobby on Friday, December 1 at 11:30 a.m. In addition to demonstrations of our Intuitive ION and da Vinci Xi robots, surgeon Robert Harson, MD and patient Lois Nichols will be on hand to talk to the media. ALEDO, Ill. – Genesis Medical Center, Aledo, celebrated National Rural Health Day last week by receiving two prestigious national awards.
